The best Instagram follow trackers in 2026, compared
There is no single best Instagram follow tracker; the right one depends on what you need. For the fastest alerts, The Ick and Lurk check hourly. For a free start, IGDetective has a free plan for one profile. For a careful saved record of who one public account follows, with removals confirmed before they are reported, CheckFollows is built for that job, but it checks about every 48 hours, so it is slower than most tools here.
None of these tools can see private accounts' lists without access, recover follows from before tracking started, or give the exact moment someone followed. Avoid any tracker that asks for the other person's password.

Which tracker fits which question
- "Who did they follow in the last hour?" Pick an hourly checker: The Ick or Lurk.
- "Who are the last 200 accounts they followed, right now?" Red Flag Follows shows the latest follows in order, without dates.
- "I want to try something free first." IGDetective's free plan covers one profile; Recent Follow has a free app with limits.
- "I want likes, comments or stories too." IGDetective, Dolphin Radar and Snoopreport cover more than follows. CheckFollows does not.
- "I want a dependable record of one account's Following list." CheckFollows saves a starting list, compares later complete scans and confirms a removal on a further scan before reporting it.
Where CheckFollows is weaker
CheckFollows checks about every 48 hours when the email-alerts add-on is on, and otherwise runs scans when you ask, using scan credits. Hourly tools will usually spot a change sooner.
It tracks only who a public account follows. It does not track that account's incoming followers, your own unfollowers, likes, comments or stories, and it has no mobile app.
Tracking starts with the first paid scan. It cannot show what the list looked like before that.
What every tracker here shares
All of them work from public Instagram information. A time shown next to a follow is usually when the tool first noticed it, not when it happened. Instagram's Following list order is not a reliable record of recency on its own.
A follow is a public connection, not evidence of a relationship, private contact or intent.
How we compared
We read each product's own pricing page, FAQ and app-store listing on 2026-11-03 and recorded only what they publish. We did not buy every plan, so accuracy and reliability claims are the vendors' own. CheckFollows wrote this page, so weigh it accordingly and check the sources below.
