IGDetective alternatives for tracking Instagram follows
IGDetective is one of the broadest trackers: recent follows, followers, unfollows, likes and comments, refreshed daily, from $30 a month. Alternatives make sense if you want hourly checks (The Ick, Lurk), a phone app (Recent Follow), or a narrower, follows-only record (CheckFollows).
If you only care about who one public account follows, CheckFollows keeps a saved Following list, compares later scans about every 48 hours with its alerts add-on, and confirms removals before showing them. If you need likes or incoming followers, stay with IGDetective; CheckFollows doesn't cover them.

Why people look for an IGDetective alternative
- Speed: daily refresh is slower than hourly trackers.
- Scope: they want follows only, without likes and comments.
- IGDetective paused follow tracking from September 9 to 12, 2026, after Instagram's reported follow-list change, and unfollow tracking until October 4.
Pick by what you actually want to know
- Everything, including likes and followers: stay with IGDetective.
- Follows, as fast as possible: The Ick or Lurk (hourly checks).
- Recent follows, cheapest weekly price: Red Flag Follows ($7.99 a week, order only, no dates).
- A careful, dated record of one account's Following list: CheckFollows.
CheckFollows' limits, stated plainly
CheckFollows tracks who a public account follows. It does not track likes, comments, stories or incoming followers, and it cannot read private accounts. Automatic checks run about every 48 hours with the email-alerts add-on; otherwise scans run when you ask and use scan credits. Tracking begins with the first paid scan and cannot recover earlier follows.
